Lino Cut Printing
Lino Cut is relief printing in which part of the lino is cut away, leaving the rest to be inked and printed. Zoe uses a reduction process which means that each colour is printed from the same piece of lino, cutting out a bit extra each time. This makes the print limited by nature, because as the next colour is cut, the previous colour is removed. Each colour is printed by hand using a cast iron printing press. Due to the nature of the process outlined above, each print will be slightly different to the one before, making each piece unique.
Zoe Anthistle will be producing a second sunflower image for us in the next few weeks, which will also be available as a limited edition run.
